Framework Experience:
A member of the Danielson Group since its inception, Paula has delivered Framework training since 1997. An important part of that work has been assisting school districts, including large urban ones, in the design and implementation of teacher evaluation programs based upon the Framework, as well as designing and facilitating ongoing professional development programs for teachers in those programs. Paula also has experience in the design and implementation of pay for performance systems for both teachers and school leaders. In addition, she has:
- participated as external observer for teacher assessment
- assisted schools and states in the design and implementation of beginning teacher induction programs
- coached administrators in reliable and valid teacher observation

Professional Experience
Paula began her career as an elementary teacher. She then moved to the university level, where she was a teacher educator and supervised student teaching. In 1997, she began her long-term association with Charlotte Danielson and continued that relationship as the Lead National Consultant for the Educational Testing Service, providing national professional development services for an array of programs based upon the Framework for Teaching.
As a member of the Danielson Group, Paula continues to provide customized, ongoing professional development and consulting services for clients across the country. These services, structured around teaching quality and student learning, are focused on assisting clients with the challenging tasks of continuous school improvement and closing the achievement gap.
Paula is the co-author of the book, “Implementing the Framework for Teaching in Enhancing Professional Practice: An ASCD Action Tool”. (ASCD, 2009)
